The Florida Institute of Montessori Studies (otherwise known as FIMS) many workshops for use with initial Montessori Training and continuing professional growth. The primary goal of the organization is to increase the availability and quality of Montessori training. It was founded by Cynthia Thomas as a group of working Montessori Professionals joined together to offer this educational opportunity. It is designed to provide more opportunities for those interested in and as an opportunity for individual professional growth and development.
Our workshops will complement training for the Associate Early Childhood or Early Childhood Credential or an Elementary I Credential as well as continued educational development.
Our facility is located on three acres in Brevard County, on the “Space Coast” of Florida, just two minutes from the Atlantic Ocean. Our 22,000 square foot modern educational facility accommodates twelve fully equipped/carpeted classrooms with private bathrooms, an administrative office equipped to support classroom material needs, a computer area for staff and students, and a state of the art gymnasium. Additionally there are three other AMS affiliated schools in the area which can be made available for observation and instruction.
